Mountains and clouds made from vintage dressmaker’s patterns. Tree bark made from thousands of feather-light cut paper sections of Bible pages.

Distant Like the Moon
Cut paper collage portrait in the style of a 12th century mosaic. I started with a pre-loved canvas from an anonymous artist and used gesso to create a section of blank slate. Cut paper squares and rectangles from a vintage book of children’s Bible stories into tiny squares and applied based on color and texture.
